Taronga Park, opened in 1916, is the major zoological gardens for the City of Sydney and the Sate o9f New South Wales. Located near Bargo, to the south-west of Sydney, Wirrimbirra Sanctuary is a 95 hectare property owned by the National Trust of Australia (NSW). The main focus of the Sanctuary is preserving what remains of the Bargo Brush, propagating and propagating Australian plants, and public education on Australian environmental issues. The Sanctuary has over 200 acres of preserved native bushland and is run by volunteers.
